Sorry for not keeping up. Frankly with all the "scandals" currently going on, I'm sick of hearing about yet another supposed worse than Watergate scandal. I also have no patience any more trying to talk sense into people hell bent on finding a huge, vast conspiracy out there. Especially when you dig deeper into these "scandals" and find out they are a continuation of the Bush era policies that conservatives were silent on for nearly a decade.
That's not what this post is about, although I did want to get that off my chest. No, it's the fact that my cat has gone missing. Myself, being a dumbass, opened my sliding glass patio door without hesitation after I heard a ruckus. Turns out it was a neighbor's cat that I didn't see, which Fuzz decided to immediately chase and attack before I even realized the screen door half was open. A split second later, he took off, and I haven't seen him since. He'd never made a break for the door like that before so it caught me off guard.
Kind of a bummer. I hope he finds his way back or someone picks him up, because I already miss him. He was a damn cool cat. Exactly what I wanted. Almost fearless, quirky, incredibly affectionate at times, but not terribly needy most of the time. We had a nice little rhythm going after a year and a half together.
If he doesn't turn up, I'll be disappointed, but I think I've already decided I'll be getting another in a month or so. It doesn't diminish his existence, but the reality of the situation. It's a tough area for him to get lost in and even tougher to try and find him. That he took off at night during a rain storm doesn't help. I'm not writing an obituary for him, as I hold out hope he'll come back or find another safe home.
Here's one of his first pictures, probably my favorite.
